Bluebonnet Economic Development Team

Our Bluebonnet Economic Development team has the experience, expertise and the relationships in the Region to help you with your business venture. We have Community Representatives located in each of our major communities covering all 5,000-plus sq. miles of the Bluebonnet Region. They are connected to local people, politics and the business climate and are prepared to help you start or expand your enterprise.

Johnny has a life long career in leadership roles and elected official positions. He previously served on the Bastrop City Council, as the President of the Bastrop ISD Board of Trustees,  elected to four terms as Bastrop County Commissioner and a liaison for elected state officials. Johnny has also served as a Food Pantry Board of Director and on numerous other community boards.

Joyce has been with Bluebonnet over twenty-three years in various leadership roles and currently is the Rep serving the greater Caldwell County area. She is past President of the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, board member of the Lockhart Economic Development Council, Partners for Progress and numerous other community roles.

Mark has been with Bluebonnet over 16 years and has served as a Community Representative and in other leadership roles, including helping lead Bluebonnet’s recent Modernization Plan. Mark serves on the Giddings ISD Board of Trustees, Board Member and President of the Giddings Economic Development Corporation and a Director on the Giddings Chamber of Commerce.

Tish came to Bluebonnet to work as a Member Service Representative and after one year she joined the Community and Economic Development staff to serve as the Rep in Bastrop County and the Manor area. Before coming to Bluebonnet, Tish served as an insurance agent for four years and overall has ten years of customer relations experience.  She serves in various leadership capacities in the Bastrop community, including serving on the Boys & Girls Club Board of Director, Friends of Science Park for M.D. Anderson, Bastrop Chamber's Leadership Class member and the City of Bastrop Planning and Zoning Commission.

A fifth-generation resident of Washington County, Wesley received his BS degree from Texas A&M in 2006 and his Professional Community and Economic Development Certification in 2010. He has served on the Rural Economic Development Advisory Committee for the Association of Rural Communities in Texas and is a past chair of Leadership Washington County, Junior Leadership, and is past director for the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County.  Wesley currently serves in the Brenham Rotary, Maifest, and the AW Hodde Technical Education Center advisory board. Wesley is married with his first child on the way.
